AT&T hat die
uhrwerkähnliche Erhöhung von einem US cent/q deklariert (2% Dividendenerhöhung).
Ich halte T eigentlich nur wegen der (hohen) Dividende. Aufgrund der arg hohen Verschuldung wegen der Time Warner Übernahme gab und gibt es ja einige Bedenken, ob die hohe Dividende auch noch sicher sei?! SimplySafeDividends relegierte T auf 55 herunter (borderline safe).
Mit der heutigen Deklarierung mag eventuell etwas mehr Ruhe einziehen, denn das Management gab einen selbstbewußten Ausblick auf FY 2019 und die aktuelle FCF payout ratio liegt bei 65%

Die Erhöhung von 0,50 auf 0,51 wurde doch Mitte Dezember 2018 schon kommuniziert.
Die heute getätigte Aussage von Stephenson zur Dividendenerhöhung bezieht sich also darauf?
Oder auf eine weitere zukünftige Erhöhung?

so wie ich das aufgefasst habe, bezieht sich die aussage auf zukünftige Erhöhungen. Das Primäre Ziel ist nun erstmal Schulden abbau

The board of directors of AT&T Inc.* (NYSE: T) has approved a 2.0% increase in the company’s quarterly dividend.
AT&T’s quarterly dividend will increase from $0.50 to $0.51 per share. The annual dividend will increase from $2.00 to $2.04 per share.
“Our healthy cash flows and strong outlook for 2019 give us the confidence to raise our dividend for the 35th consecutive year. The dividend is an important way we provide value to our shareholders, and I’m proud that we are able to continue our history of annual increases,” said Randall Stephenson, chairman and CEO, AT&T Inc.
The dividend is payable on Feb. 1, 2019, to stockholders of record at the close of business on Jan. 10, 2019.
