Die iPhone-Verkäufe in China sind nach Berechnungen von Marktforschern im vergangenen Weihnachtsgeschäft um ein Fünftel eingebrochen. Ist schon interessant zu beobachten, wie mit Apple so ein riesiges Unternehmen in eine neue Ära transferiert wird. Weg vom reinen Hardware Hersteller, hin zum Service-Dienstleister.

Vier neue Services wurden jetzt vorgestellt: Video Streaming, Gaming, Nachrichten Abos und Kreditkarte. Das dürfte den Serviceanteil am Umsatz weiter steigen lassen:

2018 Umsatz insgesamt: 266 Mrd. USD
davon Services: 40 Mrd. USD (Anteil von 15%)

2018 profit margin insgesamt: 22,4%
2018 profit margin der service unit: 62,8% (!)

Und der Trend des Umsatzwachstums der service unit ist deutlich und stark. Da dürfte noch einiges kommen.
