Analysts expected Synopsys earnings of $1.10 a share on sales of $830 million, according to Zacks Investment Research. In the year-earlier period, Synopsys earned 95 cents a share on sales of $780 million.
Synopsys stock jumped 5% in after-hours trading on the stock market today. During the regular session, SNPS stock rose 1.5% to 131.84.
