Phillips 66 (PSX) Q1 Earnings Beat Estimates, Revenues Miss

Phillips 66 PSX posted first-quarter 2019 adjusted earnings per share of 40 cents, which surpassed the Zacks Consensus Estimate of 34 cents, courtesy of contributions from pipeline transportation businesses. This was offset partially by a significant decline in crude utilization rate.

Quarterly revenues totaled $23.7 billion, down from the year-ago quarter’s $24.1 billion. The top line also missed the Zacks Consensus Estimate of $24.7 billion.

Phillips 66 (PSX) Q3 Earnings Beat, Revenues Miss Estimates

Phillips 66 PSX posted third-quarter 2019 adjusted earnings per share of $3.11, which surpassed the Zacks Consensus Estimate of $2.60. The bottom line also increased from the year-ago $3.10, courtesy of contributions from transportation and NGL businesses.

Quarterly revenues totaled $27.8 billion, down from the year-ago quarter’s $30.6 billion. The top line also missed the Zacks Consensus Estimate of $28.3 billion owing to soft refining margin.

Phillips 66 (PSX) Q4 Earnings and Revenues Surpass Estimates

Phillips 66 (PSX) came out with quarterly earnings of $1.54 per share, beating the Zacks Consensus Estimate of $1.53 per share. This compares to earnings of $4.87 per share a year ago. These figures are adjusted for non-recurring items.

This quarterly report represents an earnings surprise of 0.65%. A quarter ago, it was expected that this oil refiner would post earnings of $2.60 per share when it actually produced earnings of $3.11, delivering a surprise of 19.62%.
