Windows 10: "Secured-core PCs" mit mehr Schutz gegen Firmware-Attacken

Microsoft will Notebooks gegen Angriffe härten: Mit Windows 10 Pro, TPM 2.0 und Firmware-Funktionen für Dynamic Root-of-Trust for Measurement (DRTM).

Microsoft verzeichnet eine deutliche Zunahme von Cyber-Angriffen auf die Firmware beziehungsweise das UEFI-BIOS von Firmen-Notebooks. Sogenannte "Secured-core PCs", die es jetzt von mehreren Anbietern gibt, sollen besser gegen solche Firmware-Attacken gewappnet sein. Dazu nutzt Microsoft das Trusted Platform Module nach TPM-2.0-Spezifikation sowie einige schon länger diskutierte Firmware-Schutzmaßnahmen, vor allem die sogenannte Dynamic Root of Trust for Measurement (DRTM). Per DRTM kann Windows 10 Pro nach dem Hochfahren sicherstellen, dass wesentliche Teile der Firmware und des beim Booten ausgeführten Codes nicht manipuliert wurden.

Microsoft (MSFT) came out with quarterly earnings of $1.38 per share, beating the Zacks Consensus Estimate of $1.25 per share. This compares to earnings of $1.14 per share a year ago. These figures are adjusted for non-recurring items.

This quarterly report represents an earnings surprise of 10.40%. A quarter ago, it was expected that this software maker would post earnings of $1.21 per share when it actually produced earnings of $1.37, delivering a surprise of 13.22%.

Over the last four quarters, the company has surpassed consensus EPS estimates four times.

Microsoft, which belongs to the Zacks Computer - Software industry, posted revenues of $33.06 billion for the quarter ended September 2019, surpassing the Zacks Consensus Estimate by 2.55%. This compares to year-ago revenues of $29.08 billion.

Microsoft (MSFT) Q2 Earnings & Revenues Beat Estimates, Up Y/Y

Microsoft MSFT reported second-quarter fiscal 2020 non-GAAP earnings of $1.51 per share, which beat the Zacks Consensus Estimate by 14.4%. The figure also surged 37% on a year-over-year basis (up 41% at constant currency or cc).

Revenues of $36.096 billion improved 14% from the year-ago quarter (up 15% at cc). Further, the figure surpassed the Zacks Consensus Estimate of $35.711 billion.

Microsoft-Gründer  Bill Gates zieht sich weiter bei dem Software-Konzern zurück. 

Der 64-Jährige verlässt den Verwaltungsrat des Windows-Riesen. Gates wolle mehr Zeit für seine verschiedenen wohltätigen Engagements haben, teilte Microsoft mit. Er werde jedoch Vorstandschef Satya Nadella und dem restlichen Führungsteam weiterhin als Berater erhalten bleiben. Gates legte auch das Verwaltungsratsmandat bei Warren Buffetts Investmentgesellschaft Berkshire Hathaway.

Umsatz und Gewinn über Prognose - die Aktie fällt trotzdem.
Die Luft ist irgendwie raus, Bewertung zu hoch!

Wenn die Erwartungen übertroffen werden und der Kurs trotzdem sinkt, am besten noch bei guter Börsenstimmung, dann ist das Ende der Fahnenstange vorerst erreicht.

Ja, scheint mir Signalwirkung zu haben. Apple fällt ja auch schon.
